Since there’s finally a (little) chill in the air, I made some quick changes to our living room to take it from Summer to Fall. I started by doing some shopping at Pier 1 for a few new accessories and then pulled out some things I already had to add some different textures.
While shopping, I tried to mostly buy pieces that felt Fall-ish but could also transition into other times of the year. The lanterns were one of those purchases. And, I think I found my new favorite candle—”Autumn Leaves”. I also got to finally use the antlers that I found at a flea market a couple of years ago.
I usually have some form of wood and glass on our mantel year-round. I bought the wood bowl and filled it with oversized pinecones. The branches came from Pier 1, as well. Although I love to cut fresh branches from our backyard, these look so real (and come 100% bug-free, as an added bonus!).
I warmed up the white chair in the corner by draping a colorful table runner over the back. (Not everything has to be used for its intended purpose. . .)
These little acorn ornaments are a fun way to scatter more Fall color:
